  8.                            HARD DRIVE OPTION KITS

  11. The following Drive Option Kits are partitioned/formatted improperly and
  12. contain incorrect documentation:
  13.  
  14. 500747-080:    The drive was not accessible due to a "NON-DOS Partition"
  15.                ERROR.  Initially, the drive was formatted/partitioned with
  16.                DOS 5.0, it is not accessible by users of earlier versions of
  17.                DOS.

  19.                The user should contact AST and have the hard drive replaced.
  20.  
  21. 500747-110:    This Drive Option Kit contained a Western Digital drive with a
  22.                CDC Installation Guide.
  23.  
  24.                The correct documentation is available in the Configuration
  25.                Guide Manual (part number 001237-001) for the 110MB hard drive.
  26.  
  27. 500747-200:    This Drive Option Kit contained Maxtor drives with Western
  28.                Digital jumper settings and documentation.
  29.  
  30.                The correct documentation is available in the Configuration
  31.                Guide Manual (part number 001532-001) for the 200MB hard drive.
